Your local pharmacist can advise on suitable options. When to Contact Us If symptoms persist beyond what you’d expect, get worse, or you’re concerned about a change in a long-term condition, please get in touch. It’s always better to ask than to wait. When to Use NHS 111 For urgent but non-life-threatening problems

NHS Health Checks Explained

A Health Check is a routine review designed to spot early signs of common health problems, before they become more serious. Who Is Eligible? Adults aged 40 to 74 without an existing diagnosis of certain conditions are invited for a free NHS Health Check roughly every five years. We’ll write to you when you become eligible. What Happens at a Health Check? The appointment usually covers your weight, blood pressure, and a simple blood test, along with a discussion about lifestyle factors such as diet, activity, and smoking. You’ll be given your results and, where relevant, advice or a referral for further support.

How to Book an Appointment

We offer a choice of ways to book, so you can pick whatever suits you best — whether that’s a quick call, booking online, or coming in for something that needs to be seen the same day.

Booking by Phone

Call the surgery during opening hours and a member of our reception team will help you find the right appointment. If you’re calling about something urgent, let us know when you ring — we run a triage system so that patients who need to be seen quickly are prioritised.

Booking Online

Once registered for online services, you can book, view, and cancel routine appointments through our online booking system or the NHS App, without needing to call. This is often the quickest way to book if your query isn’t urgent.

Same-Day and Urgent Appointments

A number of same-day appointments are held back each day for problems that can’t wait. These are assessed by a clinician over the phone first, so we can direct you to the right person — that might be a GP, a nurse, or another member of the clinical team.

Cancelling Your Appointment

If you no longer need your appointment, please let us know as early as possible. You can cancel online, via the NHS App, or by calling us — every appointment you free up is one that becomes available to another patient.

Our GP Surgery Website

A Warm Welcome

Whether you’re a long-standing patient or joining us for the first time, our goal is straightforward: to make it easy to get the right care, from the right person, as quickly as possible.

How to Find Us

Our address, phone number, and opening hours are shown in the footer of every page. If you’re visiting for the first time, full accessibility information — including step-free access and disabled parking — is available on our Information page.

Stay Up to Date

Any important notices — such as temporary phone line issues or extra clinics — will always appear at the top of this page. Our latest news and announcements are listed further down, so it’s worth a check if it’s been a while since your last visit.

How to Register with Us

This is a sample page on how patients can register with your practice. There is no limit to the volume of content including the ability for other links or QR codes for registration.

Staying Well This Summer

With warmer weather on the way, a few simple precautions can help you and your family stay well over the summer months.

Keep Hydrated

Drink water regularly throughout the day, particularly during hot spells, and more if you’re active outdoors. Young children and older adults are especially at risk of dehydration, so keep an eye on them during warm weather.

Take Care in the Sun

Use a high-factor sunscreen, seek shade during the hottest part of the day, and wear a hat where possible. Sunburn increases the risk of skin damage over time, so it’s worth taking seriously even on cloudy days.

Look After Your Medication

Some medications need to be stored below a certain temperature, and heat can also affect how your body responds to certain treatments. If you’re unsure whether this applies to you, ask your pharmacist or check with us.

When to Seek Help

Heat exhaustion can develop quickly. If you or someone you’re with becomes confused, stops sweating despite feeling hot, or their symptoms don’t improve after moving somewhere cool and drinking water, seek medical help promptly.
